Why choose Casa Miguel?

It is a lovely two bedroom flat with stunning views and a large sun-drenched balcony. Everybody loves that view of the sea, the mountains, the harbour and the day long, un-interrupted sunshine.  Its superb position and closeness to the Old Town and excellent restaurants, is what people always write to us about so enthusiastically.

We have known Altea for 40 years and 'Casa Miguel' has been our winter home for the past 12 years. it is not a commercial ‘holiday let’, so you will find good quality furniture, curtains, décor, pictures, books and magazines. The beds have duvets and feather or fibre pillows, and there is good quality cutlery, even rounded soup spoons! ALL linen and towels are provided, also electricity, hot water and gas.

One bedroom has two single beds, one with a new (2008) luxury Reylon, pocket-sprung mattress, the other a comfortable Dunlopilo.

The main bedroom overlooks the sea and the sun, with a door onto the balcony. The double bed has a new (2008) Reylon, pocket-sprung mattress from England.

There are two fully-tiled bathrooms. One has a bidet, toilet, bath, basin and shower. The other has a toilet, basin, shower and clothes washing machine.

A large fully-tiled kitchen has fine views of the mountains and looks out onto a pageant of local Spanish life!

There is a stainless double sink, a large fridge-freezer, gas cooker, toaster, micro-wave and blender – and all the other things you normally find in a well equipped kitchen.

The large, airy living room faces South to the sea, with a door onto the full-width balcony. There is full air conditioning, a modern flat screen TV with a DVD and digital box with numerous Spanish and other channels. Also BBC Radio 1, 2, 3 and 4 and CDs play through the TV, so bring some CDs and DVDs of your own. There is also a radio/CD player, a well stocked library with numerous magazines and a few DVDs and CDs.
 

The flat is air conditioned and also has windows north and south; you can have a through draft, if you wish. The balcony gets full un-interrupted sunshine all day long, and there are often superb sun-rises and sun-sets, for which this area is famous. There is an outdoor table with sun umbrella, chairs and a sun bed.

It is the perfect place for a sun-downer!
